“My name is Agya Kwadwo Tòkunbọ̀. Today I received my repatriation citizenship in Ghana. Repatriate to Ghana guided me with clarity—putting me in front of the right people, making each step manageable, and handling the details with diligence. Tonight feels like the culmination of hard work, right connections, and careful due diligence. As I sat in the audience, I thought of my great‑grandmother’s stories about Africa. This is full circle—my search for myself coming home. I feel my ancestors are pleased, and I also hear them saying: don’t get comfortable—rise and do the work. I’m Blacktastic, and I’m ready to begin the work my ancestors want me to do in Ghana.
